Terms and Conditions for Drive Album

Welcome to Drive Album. By downloading, installing, or using this application ("the Service"), you ("the User") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Drive Album is a software tool that acts as a content viewer and organizer for files stored in the User's personal Google Drive account. The Service allows users to:

• Creator Mode: Generate catalog files (.json) that index media content (video, music, photos) located within a specific folder in their Google Drive.
• Viewer Mode: Load and view these catalogs to access and play media content directly from Google Drive.
• Short Links: Generate and resolve short links that point to Google Drive catalog folders for easier sharing.

2. Nature of the Service and Limitation of Liability (Key Clause)

Drive Album is an indexing and viewing service. The Service DOES NOT HOST, UPLOAD, CONTROL, MODIFY, OR OWN any of the User's media content. All content is stored, managed, and served directly from Google Drive's servers, under Google's own Terms of Service.

Therefore, you understand and agree that:

• The Creator User who generates and shares a catalog link is solely and exclusively responsible for the content to which that catalog points. This includes ensuring they own the necessary rights to the content or that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including copyright laws.
• Drive Album does not review, endorse, or monitor the content of user-created catalogs.
• Drive Album disclaims all liability for any illegal, infringing, inappropriate, or offensive content that may be accessed through the Service. Any claims related to the content of a catalog must be directed to the Creator User who shared it.

3. Acceptable Use

The User agrees not to use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. The User is responsible for their own conduct and all content accessed through their account. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Sharing catalogs that point to content that infringes on copyright, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights.
• Sharing content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service.
• Using the Service to transmit any viruses, malware, or any other code of a destructive nature.

4. Authentication and Accounts

The Service requires the User to sign in using their Google Account (Google Sign-In). By doing so, the User authorizes Drive Album to:

• Access basic profile information (name, email address) to personalize the application experience.
• Request the necessary permissions to read and (in Creator Mode) write files in their Google Drive, strictly limited to the described functionalities of the Service.

The security of the User's Google Account is the User's own responsibility.

5. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep the Service operational. However, it may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or other reasons. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part thereof, at any time and without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The name "Drive Album," the logo, graphics, and the application's source code are the property of the Drive Album developer and are protected by intellectual property laws. They may not be used, copied, or distributed without explicit permission.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the new terms.
